What we publish

Everything on game-code.net is written by us. The guides, the driver notes, the troubleshooting walkthroughs and the reviews come out of our own testing on our own machines; we keep the screenshots and the drafts, so we know where each piece came from. We do not host downloads of other people’s software, and we do not republish articles lifted from elsewhere. If something on this site belongs to you and you did not give us permission to use it, we want to hear about it directly.

How to report a specific page

Send us the exact URL of the page you are concerned about, not just the domain. A link to the article or section is what lets us find the material and check it against our records; a general complaint about the site gives us nothing to work with. The best route is through the contact page, where the message reaches us as a small team rather than disappearing into a void.

What your notice needs to contain

We need enough to identify the work you own and the material you believe infringes it. Tell us what the original work is and where it can be seen. Give us the URL on game-code.net where the disputed material sits. Explain briefly why you believe the use is unauthorised. Include your name and a way to reply to you. State that you have a good faith belief the use is not permitted by the rights holder, the law, or the owner’s own terms, and that the information in your notice is accurate and you are authorised to act for the rights holder. A signature, typed or scanned, is fine.

What happens next

We read every notice ourselves and we do not sit on them. When a notice is complete and the claim holds up, we remove or replace the material promptly, usually within a couple of days, and we will confirm to you what we did. If we think the claim is mistaken we will say so and explain why rather than simply ignoring you. Counter-notices get the same treatment, and we will pass along the details so the matter can be settled between the parties involved.
