What this site is

Everything on game-code.net is written by people who have spent years unpacking ZIP files, wrestling with broken installs, and cleaning up machines that other software left in a mess. What we publish is opinion and experience, not a guarantee. A driver update that worked on our bench may behave differently on your hardware; a troubleshooting step that fixed our boot loop may not fix yours. Treat our articles as a starting point for your own testing, not as a promise of any particular result.

What you may do with our content

Quote us freely, with a link back to the page you pulled from; short excerpts in forums, roundups, or replies are fine and welcome. What is not fine is wholesale republishing, copying whole articles onto another site, or scraping the site to build a mirror or a dataset. If you want to reference a full guide, link to it rather than clone it. We also ask that you do not strip our bylines or present our testing notes as your own.

Comment rules

Comments are for people who have actually tried the thing they are asking about. Tell us your Windows version, what you installed, and what happened; that detail is what makes a thread useful to the next reader. We remove spam, link drops, abusive replies, and anything that reads like a shill for a paid tool. Disagree with us all you like; just keep it about the problem, not the person.

Liability

We test carefully and we correct errors when readers flag them; even so, you use this site at your own risk. We are not liable for data loss, downtime, hardware damage, or any other loss that follows from applying something you read here. Back up before you touch drivers or installers; that habit has saved us more times than any single article. If you need to reach us about a correction or a permissions request, the contact page is the place to start.
